AnotherWay to Make an Impact!
Our foundation operates multiple counties within the state of Georgia, but we have supporters around the world!
Impact Statement
We are dedicated to increasing access to mental health and addictive disease services through compassionate, educational and innovative services. This is done through removing the financial barrier of care for individuals struggling to afford care. It also funds alternative forms of therapeutic services (i.e. music therapy, pet therapy, etc.) and inclusive events for members of the community with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our signature event is No One Walks Alone - Suicide Prevention Walk.
2024 marked the start of a special project to support and help fund our community partnership with Coweta Cares. This is an Emergency Crisis Response Unit comprised of a Coweta County EMS and a Pathways Center Licensed Counselor that responds to local 911 calls related to Mental Health. This is a public service available to all residents of Coweta County. Coweta Cares offers emergency mental health services to all ages withing Coweta County. To date, they have served 282 children and their families within the community. Funding for this project will help to cover the cost of the Licensed Counselor that rides along in response to Mental Health related 911 calls.
Our inclusive events impact over 125 individuals per event (two per year) that are adults with Intellectual/Developmental disabilities. It is a day to be celebrated for what makes them unique! It offers an opportunity to socialize and make new friends in a sensory friendly and inclusive environment.
Our Suicide Prevention Walk is a free event open to the public to ensure that the entire community has an opportunity to take advantage of the resources offered in this event. This event focuses on honoring lost loved ones, removing the stigma of shame to encourage healthy discussions to bring awareness, and introducing healthy forms of coping skills as well as available resources with hope to assist in reducing the high suicide rates in our local community. In 2022, 300 individuals attended the No One Walks Alone - Suicide Prevention Walk, and we were able to contribute $10,000 towards covering the cost of mental health treatment for individuals that could not afford care. In 2023, 600 individuals attended we raised $19,000 for that same cause. We plan to continue to grow this element of the organization. This year we are expecting 1,000 attendees at this event.

"Clients asked and AnotherWay delivered. PSR and Peer clients wanted to visit the Wargo's pumpkin farm, but cost would prohibit some from participating. AnotherWay Foundation was able to step in and remove the financial burned for all of the clients and allow they to experience a fun day on the farm and engage in community integration."

"They are good, I like to dress up and it always looks beautiful and eat good. I like helping at the walk each year too!"
